Pricing
How we price ERP and managed IT
Why there are no prices on this page
An ERP project for a single-entity distributor and one for a multi-site manufacturer with five integrations are different pieces of work. Managed IT for a ten-person office and for a business with warehouses and field staff are different too. A number published here would be wrong for most readers.
Instead, we scope first and price what we have scoped. You get a written quote with the assumptions it rests on, so you can compare it fairly and see what would change it.
ERP and business processes
ERP work is quoted per phase
- 01
Discovery and process mapping
A first, fixed-scope phase. We map how the business runs today, agree the future process and list requirements. See business process mapping. - 02
Selection
Shortlist, scripted demos and a recommendation, quoted once the requirements are known. See ERP selection. - 03
Implementation
Configuration, data migration, testing, training and go-live, quoted against the agreed design. See ERP implementation. - 04
Integration
Each integration is scoped separately by systems, records and volume. See ERP integration. - 05
Support after go-live
Ongoing support, fixes and improvements, agreed as a monthly arrangement or as blocks of work.
What drives the cost of an ERP project
- How many processes, entities and sites are in scope
- How much the process needs to change, not just the software
- The platform chosen, and whether it is licensed or open source like ERPNext
- The volume and quality of data to migrate from MYOB, Reckon, Xero or spreadsheets
- The number and complexity of integrations
- Customisation beyond standard configuration
- How much of the work your own team takes on
- Training needs and the number of people being trained
Managed IT
Managed IT is priced per user or device, after an audit
Usually included in the monthly fee
- Helpdesk support for your staff
- Device management, patching and monitoring
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Backup monitoring and test restores
- Network and firewall management
- Security baseline aligned with the Essential Eight
- Onboarding and offboarding
Usually quoted as project work
- Office moves and new sites
- Migrations, such as moving email or files to Microsoft 365
- Network redesigns and new firewall installs
- Security uplift projects beyond the baseline
- Hardware and software purchases
- Work for systems outside the agreed scope

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you give me a ballpark figure?
After a first conversation we can usually tell you which factors will matter most and whether your budget is realistic for what you want. A firm number comes after scoping, because that is the only point at which it can be accurate.
Is discovery charged?
The first conversation is free. For ERP work, discovery and process mapping is a paid, fixed-scope phase, because it produces real outputs you keep: process maps, requirements and a recommendation.
Do you charge fixed price or time and materials?
We prefer a fixed price per phase where the scope is clear enough. Where it is not, we agree an estimate with a cap and report progress against it.
Is there a lock-in contract for managed IT?
The term and notice period are set out in the agreement before you sign. Your accounts, data and documentation stay in your name, so changing provider is straightforward.
Do you resell software licences?
Licences are bought in your name, from the vendor or a reseller you choose. We will tell you what you need and help you buy it, and licence costs are shown separately from our fees.
Ask for a scoped quote
Tell us what you are trying to achieve. We will explain what scoping would involve and what it would cost before anything starts.
