Salesforce ERP integration

Salesforce ERP integration from opportunity to order, invoice and payment.

Salesforce and your ERP

Salesforce manages the pipeline and customer relationships for many larger Australian businesses, while the ERP handles orders, delivery and billing. SyncBricks connects Salesforce to ERPNext, Business Central, NetSuite and other ERPs so accounts, products and orders are consistent and sales can see finance status on the account.

Salesforce is a CRM platform used for sales, service and customer management. Accounts, contacts, opportunities, products, price books, quotes and orders are available through its REST and Bulk APIs, along with platform events and change data capture. That gives a solid basis for passing won business to an ERP and returning order and invoice information to Salesforce.

Why integrate Salesforce with your ERP

Without an integration, opportunity details are re-entered in the ERP, account names and addresses drift apart, and sales staff ask finance about overdue invoices by email. A designed integration settles which system owns accounts, products and pricing, then keeps them in step, so each team works in its own system without losing sight of the other.

The design work sits inside our process mapping and ERP integration services: agree which system owns each record first, then build.

Integration patterns we build

Closed-won opportunity to ERP sales order

When an opportunity closes, the account, contacts and products are sent to the ERP as a customer and sales order or project, with the Salesforce ID stored for traceability.

Price books from the ERP

Items and prices maintained in the ERP update Salesforce products and price books, so quotes use current pricing.

Order, invoice and payment status to Salesforce

Order progress, invoice numbers, balances and payment status are written to the account or opportunity, giving sales and service a view of finance status.

Credit holds before ordering

Credit limits and holds set in the ERP are shown in Salesforce, so reps know before closing whether an account can be supplied.

How data moves

Events that start a sync

  • Opportunity closed won
  • Account or contact created or updated
  • Product or price changed in the ERP
  • Order shipped or invoice submitted in the ERP
  • Payment received
  • Scheduled account status sync

Records created or updated

  • Create customers and sales orders in the ERP
  • Update Salesforce products and price books
  • Write order, invoice and payment status to accounts
  • Flag accounts on credit hold
  • Store cross-system IDs on both records
  • Log failures for review

Who asks us for Salesforce integration

  • Mid-sized B2B businesses with Salesforce for sales and an ERP for fulfilment.
  • Service businesses turning won opportunities into ERP projects.
  • Teams replacing manual order entry between Salesforce and the ERP.

Access, credentials and audit trail

Salesforce access uses a connected app with OAuth, scoped to the objects the integration needs, and IP restrictions where required. Credentials are kept in a secrets store. Changes are developed and tested in a sandbox before production, and every record the integration touches is logged with references in both systems.

FAQ

Salesforce integration questions

Is this better than Salesforce Flow?

They do different jobs. Flow is the right tool for automation inside Salesforce. The ERP integration moves records between Salesforce and the ERP, using a native connector, middleware or a custom API integration depending on the ERP and your volumes.

Can you test in a Salesforce sandbox first?

Yes. We build and test against a Salesforce sandbox and an ERP test environment, run user acceptance testing with real scenarios, and plan the production release with a rollback step.

Do you use MuleSoft or other middleware?

We use whatever fits your environment. If you already have MuleSoft or another integration platform, we can build on it. Otherwise we compare native connectors, an integration tool such as n8n, or a custom integration, and choose the one that is simplest to support for your volumes and requirements.

Planning a Salesforce integration?

Tell us which systems you run and where data is being re-keyed. We will tell you plainly what an integration would involve.
